Ellie Colton studied at the cleveland institute of art and continued her education with numerous master painters and workshops .

She has vast experience in both fine arts and commercial art. Her professional background includes illustrating for greeting card giant, American greetings, and numerous other commercial companys. These include other card companys, wallpaper publishers, and book publishers .

She has had at least a thousand of her illustrations in publication.

Her professional background is reflected in the richness of her fine arts.Along with her many published illustrations ,she has been commissioned to do  many  paintings.They range in diversity from abstracts to florals to portaits of both animals and people.

She lives in rocky river ohio and maintains a studio there
